Songs of Mercy, reposted in Spotify.

God is rich in mercy (Eph 2:4). That is the reason we are alive and saved forever(Eph 2:5) and it is the reason we might partake of Jesus’ kindnesses forever (Eph 2:7). It all depends on a merciful God, not me, not my feelings, desires, thoughts, actions. Thus, whatever else may be happening, tonight God is rich in mercy and tonight we should praise him for that mercy. (BTW, this is Paul – just disregard the heading that says otherwise :-)

"The Christian Gospel is that I am so flawed that Jesus had to die for me, yet I am so loved and valued that Jesus was glad to die for me. This leads to deep humility and deep confidence at the same time. It undermines both swaggering and sniveling. I cannot feel superior to anyone, and yet I have nothing to prove to anyone. I do not think more of myself or less of myself. Instead, I think of myself less."

God
